This time last year, I hadn't seen any Star Wars movie. I'd somehow missed them as a kid, missed them as a teenager when the prequels came out, and never gotten around to catching up with them until Summer last year, when Moose and I were due to go to 'Secret Cinema Presents: The Empire Strikes Back'. I watched 'A New Hope' on the way to London, and then later made sure I watched 'Return of the Jedi' before we all watched 'The Force Awakens'.
This year was the first year I could celebrate May the 4th - aka Star Wars Day - as someone who had actually seen the films. Go me! So, to celebrate, I made sure I finished this silly little painting I've had in my head for a while now. Most of my crossover art makes sense in the scheme of things. This one... not so much. I blame the fact that Zootopia has taken over my life lately. And, heck, any excuse to draw animals doing people things!

Here's a new piece I doodled a while ago and finally got around to finishing up! I've called it 'Bounce n' Pounce' because both Rengar and Gnar are pretty bouncy and, well, pouncy! I'd say there's no escaping these two! I wanted a very simple background, and I ended up using some brushes from Katikut for the grass (as well as *whispers* the default Photoshop grass brush, don't judge!)
Prints are available, and I'll of course have this for sale at MCM Expo this May! I've also uploaded it onto my Redbubble site as I think it makes a killer shirt design!! Tags:
My next event is BUCK, which is a convention dedicated to the new series of My Little Pony. I've vended there every year since it began and unfortunately this year is their last. I'm super excited to get there and sell some art, though, and here's my newest piece! I'm actually *blushes* really really behind with watching the latest series. I stopped at the start of series five and just never started up again, so I've been making a point of catching up before the weekend! One of the first episodes I saw was 'Tanks for the Memories', which I found just so touching and sad even though Rainbow Dash was acting like a bit of an idiot! So, I doodled up this! And I think it makes a really awesome looking t-shirt, too, so here it is on Redbubble! Purchase on Redbubble!: http://www.redbubble.com/people/reaperfox/works/21427470-tanks-for-the-friendship Here's a couple of silly phone camera wips, I need to get into the habit of taking more screenshots and photos of work in progress art because I know people find it really fun to look at.

I'm brand new to Wander Over Yonder! It's a cartoon I've avoided for a while because it seemed a little too stylised and 'wacky' for me, but my friend Luke sent me a song featuring Lord Dominator and I was absolutely hooked. She's just the coolest character ever! And given her penchant for disorder and just plain being mean for no reason, I thought she'd be the perfect buddy for fellow Disney XD toon bad guy, Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls!
Please check out the video and remember to subscribe if you like my content! I'm slowly trying to grow my Youtube channel. Very slowly.
And here's the final image! I'm super happy with it! I've found that most people recognise Bill Cipher but nobody really knows who Lord Dominator is, for shame! Still, it's a crossover I'll stand by. It makes perfect sense.

Every year I say I'm going to draw my character Reaperfox more, and every year I manage to... not. However, I made a point of creating a little Christmas doodle for my Youtube channel, which you can see below. Tags:
My first and most certainly not last Steven Universe painting! I could write an absolute essay about how much I adore this cartoon and how much Pearl means to me but instead I’ll just tell you guys how much I love being part of a fandom again (it’s been ages!) I’ve been struggling a lot lately with my art and it has been a really difficult year, creatively. I sell at several conventions every year and try to release new prints and work each time I go, but I’ve just not been able to produce anything of any worth (in my opinion) lately and it’s hit me like a punch to the gut.
Steven Universe came at exactly the right time, with exactly the right message, and from exactly the right fandom, and I’m absolutely buzzing with creativity, inspiration and, frankly, sheer joy. For the first time in over a year, I am excited about selling at a convention again. For the first time in over a year, I'm creating passionate art again. I love it. Tags:
I've been meaning to design something I can actually put on products, and here it is! This will be on the top of things like packs of badges and stickers and mailing labels. Hope you like it! :)

With today being June 1st and MCM Expo well and truly behind us now, I figured it's about time I blew the dust off this place and actually tried some, y'know, blogging again! So much has happened in the past couple of months but I'd been so busy with art and convention prep that I just didn't have time to sit down and write about it all! So, in the next week or so I'm going to do a bit of a catch up and explain what I want to do with this little blog of mine! I'm going to make a schedule (she says) and I'm actually going to stick to it (she says.) The things I'll be recapping soon here are; a visit to Longleat, the Doctor Who Experience up in Cardiff, various trips to the theatre and, of course, a convention report about MCM Expo (London Comic Con) itself!
I've also just recently discovered a whole community on Youtube of artists and convention-goers who vlog and blog about their techniques and experiences making and selling art! Vlogging and Youtubing is something I've wanted to do for years and I've had a couple of false starts along the way in my efforts to overcome the crippling fear I have of talking to the camera! I've always felt like anything I could possibly say has been said by those far wittier, more charismatic or better looking than I, and what on Earth could I bring to the Youtubing table? All I do is draw, play video games and watch Netflix, haha, and there's really no shortage of gaming on Youtube, that's for sure. So I discovered this side of Youtube I'd somehow missed before and it's all just clicked into place! I do have an angle! I draw, and I attend conventions selling my art and creations. When I was starting out, I remember being so daunted and terrified of the convention scene, I wish I'd had videos from people like me back in the day! It's easy to forget that we convention vendors see things from 'the other side of the fence' so to speak, and I think it might be really fun sharing that with people on Youtube! Plus, it then opens up my channel for other things, everyday nerding out, cosplay attempts (or more likely fails), trip reports and, yes, gaming. Lots of gaming. So that's something I'm going to be trying out. The marker doodles above (taken shamefully from my Instagram account) were created this morning as I got to grips with the idea of filming an image start-to-finish! Whatever happens, it's going to be a fun little adventure! :) Tags:
Yet more ACEO pieces! I'll have all the originals available on my table at MCM London Comic Con this weekend, as well as collected prints like this! Convention prep is almost over, which means I can start treating this place like an actual blog again!
I'll probably draw the BLU team later to accompany this set, but I had to focus on the RED guys first as the RED side is where my heart lies. :) Tags:
I'm sorry I've not been very active around here lately! I've been super busy with convention prep for MCM London Expo (London Comic Con) this month! I've actually got two tables this time around so I'm really worried I won't fill them up. That's why all my posts lately are art/craft related!
Anyway, here's some ACEOs I've made for the convention! I'm selling them as individual originals or in collected prints like above. I'm actually super in love with my scanner! I've never had a fun time scanning real media before, but these are scanned straight in without touch-ups at all. It's an Epson V370 Photo - I received it as a gift at Christmas after reading a lot of great reviews about it, and I couldn't be happier! Tags:
